Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can serve our church family here at New Life! We love having new people serve on our teams, however it can take some time to organise training and integrate new members into teams, so please expect to be contacted in the next month or so regarding the different areas you have chosen to serve in.

Garden Team: Our gardening team are very passionate about serving our church community this way, and seeing that our grounds are welcoming and attractive to our newcomers. They meet a few times a year for working bees, and may drop in throughout the week or on a weekend to do some additional work.
Kitchen Team: Many or our events have food served, and require a team of people serving in the kitchen. Serving our church family in this way is lots of fun and is a great way to get to know others in our church better! This role is also very flexible, with our events being hosted in both in the evenings during the week and on weekends, both during the day and at night. Not everyone needs to serve at every event, so you may only serve in this area once or twice a year.

Bible Reading: The highlight of our weekly gatherings is hearing Gods Word read to us. This role involves reading the Bible from the lectern just before the sermon. The passage will be given to you ahead of time so you can practice reading it before Sunday.
Morning Tea Team: Having a great morning tea is a great way to ensure that church continues long after the service is finished. Providing morning tea is a job that requires you (along with a partner) to buy/make food for us all to enjoy, ensuring the hot water urn is turned on, and all the coffee/tea making equipment and supplies are out. You will serve in teams of 4 individuals if you are part of the 9am service, and 6 individuals if you are part of the 10.30am service.
Training: you will be given an induction training session when you join any of the above teams.
Commitment: You will be rostered on once every 6 weeks (on average)
Childsafe: no WWCC or ChildSafe training is required
Coffee Cart: Our Coffee cart is a fantastic way to bring people together for fellowship and generate new connections between people. Barista skills are helpful however training can be arranged if this is an area of serving you are passionate about. You and your partner will arrive to church early to ensure the machine is ready to go, and exit the service in the last song to get ready to serve coffee post service. If you attend the 10.30 service, you will also be in charge of cleaning the machine.
Training: you will be given an induction training session when you join the team
Commitment: You will be rostered on once every 3-4 weeks (on average)
Childsafe: no WWCC or ChildSafe training is required
Kid's Church Helper: Kids@NewLife is a safe place where kids can have fun as they worship God and learn about Him on their level during our regular 9am and 10:30am Sunday services. The aim of Kids@NewLife is to encourage kids to connect with Jesus personally and to worship Him wholeheartedly through songs, craft, and age-specific small groups where they explore the Bible together. Our helpers support the teachers who lead each group, and we encourage everyone who wants to be a Kids@NewLife teacher to first spend some time as a helper to get a feel for how it runs.
